(Reformation Coat and Dress, Rag & Bone Boots)

I normally tend to distance myself from places that are heavily populated with tourists but sometimes the Met can just be so irresistible. We ended up taking some pictures in the European Sculpture and Decorative Arts atrium. I am more familiar with this area of this museum partly because of the art and partly because that is where the Petrie Court Café is located (mostly the latter). As we wandered through the maze that is the Met towards the atrium, we were immediately drawn to the creamy white marble and regal columns elegantly bathed in the sunlight peaking in through the glass ceilings. It was truly mesmerizing.

I thought that this midi-dress and long camel coat would feel at home amidst the Upper East Side vibes as well as keep me warm because it was very very cold. This camel coat is just the bees knees. Clearly, the coat gods were smiling upon me when I was able to snatch the last one in my size after coveting it for many many weeks. And this dress (doe). This dress possesses dual key elements for me - it's sexy and modest all in one. Like whaat, that's awesome.
